Blogger vs. WordPress: A game that's fixed?
I recently changed my blog from this WordPress site <http://genemyers.wordpress.com/> to this Blogger site <http://genemyers.blogspot.com/>. The reason I did this was search engine optimization (SEO).
Even though Google claims it isn't so, every couple of years they tweak their search engine and lo and behold for some reason, it's their competitors who end up lower down in search engine results.
Google, which owns Blogger, would balk at these claims. At the last Haiku North America convention, Don Wentworth <http://lilliputreview.blogspot.com/> mentioned that he chose Blogger for his blog and Melissa Allen <http://haikuproject.wordpress.com/> and I went with WordPress.
WordPress is prettier. But I have to say, only one week with the new Blogger blog and I'm already showing up higher the search engine rankings than my WordPress blog, which I have been posting for years.
I am curious. Fellow bloggers, what has been your experience?
