Angela Terry, a native of the Pacific Northwest, started writing haiku in 2004. Since her retirement in 2006, after 35 years in the insurance industry, Angie has become involved in Haiku Northwest activities. She attended the Haiku North America conference held in Port Townsend, Washington, as well as quarterly HSA meetings held in Seattle and Portland.
She has contributed to HSA member anthologies, had her haiku featured in literary festivals such as the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and the Suruga Baika Literary Festival, and been published in journals including The Heron’s Nest, Frogpond, and Acorn.
In addition to writing haiku and other types of poetry, Angie is a master gardener and an avid traveler. She also enjoys listening to jazz and reading in front of a blazing fire on rainy Seattle nights. |
