We updated two of our haiku collections. Thanks to Charles
Trumbull, who typed all of the poems (!) and provided them to me so that
I could format them for the site.
The Museum of Haiku Literature
Award Collection now has the winning poems from 1981 to 2003. This
collection consists of some of the best poems from over 20 years of Frogpond,
the HSA's literary journal. Read this collection to get an impression
of the trends in English-language haiku for the past two decades.
The Nicholas A. Virgilio Memorial
Haiku Competition for Grades 7-12 now has the winning poems from 1990
to 2003. My impression is that many of the poems in this collection could
find a home in any haiku journal. See if you agree.
We also reformatted the HSA
Bernard Lionel Einbond Renku Collection to make it easier to read.
See also a regional notice for a reading on January 9, 2004

Forrester and Pamela Miller Ness.

of the home page. Visit counters increment the count only on the first
visit to a page by a particular Internet Protocol (IP) address. Repeated
accesses by the same IP address will not be counted. The resulting number
is a little more meaningful than counting the number of times that a given
page has been accessed.
